About YILDIZ

Turkish-born Yildiz Blackstone has been a New York City resident since 1988, when she studied fashion buying and merchandising at FIT. After time spent working at various fashion houses, including Versace,Yildiz started LUCA LUCA with designer Luca Orlandi. From opening its first store in 1992 to building it to a household name in the US and around the world, Yildiz spent over 20 years building the brand before orchestrating its acquisition. While attending the Harvard Business School executive master’s program, she realized her journey in the fashion world was not done. She needed to find a way to channel her extensive industry knowledge into helping the next generation of designers. Her consulting business BELUXURY was born out of that, and eventually YILDIZAYLIN followed.
